BILL GATES says good bye to Microsoft

Bill Gates, the world’s richest man, retires from his dream Microsoft Corporation today. Gates launched the company over 3 decades ago in 1975 when he was just 17 years old. He along with his friend Paul Allen started a new project- a system called BASIC after dropping out of Harvard University. In 1980 Microsoft was chosen by IBM to create operating system called MS-DOS for its first ever PC. The first version of Microsoft Windows was shipped in the 1985 and later in 1992 the company introduced Windows 3.1 to the public. On Jan 13, 2000 Gates stepped aside as Microsoft’s CEO and continued to remain as chairman and chief software architect.

Finally after making so many miracles in the software industry, Bill gates have decided to step away from his concern. He has planned to run his $33 Billion non profit organization, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, that he formed along with his wife 7 years ago. His successors Ray Ozzie and Craig Mundie will take over the title of chief software architect and chief research officer after him.

Gates vision and contribution has changed the world by making technology available to everyone at their doorstep. His competitors may breathe a sigh of relief now, but i hope Gate’s contribution will still extend this road towards many innovations. He will continue to change the world through his foundation. Let’s stay and watch what this Legend is going to do next…
